This Month's
Featured Artist is...
Terry
Luper of Oregon
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Terry
has
always been a fan of mother nature and the great outdoors. He is an advid
photographer and I believe that artistic eye is what makes his handmade
art come to life. To quote Terry, "I've been told that is probably
why I was able to come up with the compostitions that I did early in this
awesome hobby!"
Terry
has been a art stamper for almost 15 years now and the obsession hasn't
faded one bit. He just continues to perfect his work. He says he
started his stamping journey by first working with stencils. Luckily a
coworker introduced him to stamps and the rest is history.
Most
likely you'll find some of his art embellishing the walls in his bear den.
Yes. He has a bear den! He also makes magnets and lots of gifts out
of his artwork for family and friends.
He
certainly has a talent for realistic skies and well proportioned masterpieces.
If he taught a class he would like to teach others how to put everything
in the right proportion. "I think that keeping things in the proper
porportion keeps the viewer interested more and will look deeper into the
scene."
